Oprócz konta na YouTube, Instagramie założył też konto w profesjonalnej sieci LinkedIn, której bliżej do białych kołnierzyków niż… rolników. Mimo obecnego kryzysu nie zamierza się poddawać.
Oglądasz program „Rolnik szuka żony”?
Oglądałem pierwsze trzy edycje, kolejne bardzo wyrywkowo. Tego typu program był w Polsce potrzebny. Można się śmiać, ale rolnicy czy rolniczki także chcą stworzyć normalną rodzinę. Wśród rolników jest to coraz większy problem, bo większość kobiet ucieka do miast. Jeśli komuś nie udawało się w realu, a wybrał telewizję – jego decyzja.
Liczba małżeństw się stale powiększa.
Kilkoro dzieci się z programu urodziło, a osoby którym przede wszystkim zależało na rozpoznawalności szybko przez widzów zostały zweryfikowane. Trochę nie podoba mi się kreowanie złych i dobrych postaci, ale pewnie takimi prawami rządzi się telewizja. Dla mnie i tak jest to o wiele bardziej prawdziwy program niż podobne tego typu, gdzie większość osób szuka przede wszystkim rozgłosu.
Vlogerów czy influencerów rolniczych widywałem na YouTube. Ty poszedłeś dalej. Jesteś pierwszym tak aktywnym rolnikiem w profesjonalnej sieci znanej raczej jako miejsce dla ludzi z IT, czyli LinkedIn.
Agrovlogerzy i agroinfluencerzy rosną w siłę i coraz częściej zajmują miejsca karty na czasie YouTube. Nie są to kanały tak duże jak te topowe, mimo wszystko budują zasięgi, które gwarantują kilkadziesiąt, kilkaset a nawet kilka milinów wyświetleń. Podobnie ma to miejsce na Facebooku czy na Instagramie. Osobiście prowadzę kanał, który gromadzi prawie 26 tysięcy ludzi na YT i prawie 11 tysięcy na Instagramie. Nie są to liczby, które zapierają dech w piersiach, ale od samego początku celowałem w wąskie grono odbiorców związanych z rolnictwem i którzy prowadzą gospodarstwa podobne do mojego.
Ale skąd pomysł na LinkedIn?
Znałem tę platformę przed założeniem konta, ale nie widziałem sensu prowadzenia tutaj profilu, bo… nie ma tutaj rolników. Zmieniło się to, gdy wybrałem marketingowe studia podyplomowe i w pewien sposób zostało to na mnie „wymuszone”. Po kilku miesiącach cichego obserwowania i pewnego rodzaju przyzwyczajenia do publikowania – stwierdziłem, dlaczego by i tu nie spróbować. Na LinkedIn przewijały mi się często treści powiązane z rolnictwem, gdzie głos zabierali wszyscy, a nie sami zainteresowani – bo ich tu nie ma.
Kontakty z LinkedIna spoza twojego obszaru przydały się w twojej działalności?
Po „sukcesie” kilkunastu postów na LinkedIn, którymi z resztą jestem mega zaskoczony grono obserwatorów bardzo szybko się powiększyło. Przełożyło się to na wiele nowych znajomości, ofert pracy i współpracy. Część z nich realnie przydaje mi się już teraz, niektóre na pewno będą owocować w przyszłości. Wydawać by się mogło, że rolnictwo jest mało ważnym elementem w całej gospodarczej machinie, ale prawda jest taka, że jest ono powiązane z wieloma innymi dziedzinami, a LinkedIn pozwala mi poszerzać kręgi znajomości o wielu ciekawych ludzi, którzy mi, ale także branży rolnej są potrzebni. Pojawienie się rolników na LinkedIn może też okazać się rozwojowe dla wielu firm, ponieważ rolnictwu brakuje jeszcze np. adwokatów obeznanych w branży, dobrych marketingowców czy dostępu do wiedzy z zakresu IT i podobnych.
Twoją działalność zauważyły media. Pojawiasz się w nich coraz częściej jako ekspert.
Obecność w sieci na pewno przekłada się na budowanie marki – tu nie mam co do tego wątpliwości. Mam jednak świadomość tego, że treści, które publikuję i które przyjdzie mi pewnie publikować często będą szły na przekór mediom i ogólnie przyjętym standardom, chociaż taki kij wrzucony w mrowisko przynosi czasami więcej korzyści niż szkód. Uważam też, że trzeba ludziom pokazywać tą drugą stronę. Moje ostatnie wypowiedzi w mediach były jednak związane bardziej z rozpoznawalnością w środowisku rolniczym niż na LinkedIn. Może przyjdzie czas na wystąpienie przed szerszą publiką, niekoniecznie rolniczą. Gdy będzie ku temu okazja – chętnie stawię temu czoła. Zawsze to kolejny szczebel w samorozwoju i wspomnianym już budowaniu marki osobistej.

Na LinkedInie jest mnóstwo darmowych porad, jak np. ulepszyć swój profil. Korzystałeś z tego?
To jak wygląda mój profil to w dużej mierze efekt szkolenia Dagmary Pakulskiej i rad Sandry Jedynak. LinkedIn na początku był dla mnie medium na samym końcu listy. Dziś przesunął się do przodu, jednak Youtube jest cały czas na miejscu numer jeden. Dzielenie się wiedzą z rolnikami i czerpanie jej od innych będzie trudne do zdetronizowania. Na dziś to numer dwa i coraz bardziej zależy mi na prowadzeniu konta tutaj.
Dlaczego tak niewielu rolników ma swoje kanały i jest mało aktywnych w sieci. Według najświeższych danych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego w 2018 roku liczba gospodarstw rolnych posiadających użytki rolne wyniosła w Polsce około 1,4 mln.
To tylko liczba, podobnie jak wskaźnik SSI lub liczba subskrypcji – mało mówi. W Polsce mamy 1,05 miliona gospodarstw, które mają powierzchnię 1-5 ha. W dużej mierze są to gospodarstwa nietowarowe. W tej liczbie znajduje się też bardzo duży udział gospodarstw, które należą do osób, które po prostu kupiły ziemię by być ubezpieczonym w KRUS-ie. Zresztą nawet wśród celebrytów znajdują się takie osoby, które kupiły grunty rolne.
A jeśli chodzi o aktywność w sieci?
Dynamicznie się ona zwiększa, młodzi wybierają głównie Facebooka, Youtube i Instagrama. Zwiększa się także udział osób w starszym wieku, którzy coraz częściej korzystają z dobrodziejstw internetu. Widzę to także, po swoich rodzicach. Dziś, w okresie częściowego uziemienia, internet i social media nabierają jeszcze większego znaczenia, nawet w prowadzeniu gospodarstw. Coraz więcej z nich prowadzi swoje strony, rozpoczęło e-commerce.
Czy prawdą jest, że młodzi wciąż uciekają z małych miejscowości? A może jest wręcz przeciwnie. Panuje nowa moda na to, by prowadzić gospodarstwa?
Ze wsi ucieka coraz więcej młodych ludzi – szczególnie kobiet. W mojej okolicy jest kilkadziesiąt gospodarstw, następców zaledwie kilku. Dziś ekonomicznej racji bytu nie mają małe gospodarstwa po kilka hektarów, chyba, że są to gospodarstwa specjalistyczne lub mające pomysł na sprzedaż detaliczną, Młodzi wybierają głównie pracę w mieście. Często stabilną, lepiej płatną i w wielu przypadkach z unormowaną liczbą godzin pracy. W rolnictwie, szczególnie przy hodowli tego nie ma.
A jak jest w przypadku większych gospodarstw?
Następców brakuje też na największych i najbardziej dochodowych gospodarstwach. Nasza praca jest też w ogromnej mierze zależna od pogody, a ta w ostatnich latach wariuje. Idziemy w kierunku Europy Zachodniej – liczba gospodarstw spada i spadać będzie.
Ty raczej nie myślisz o rezygnacji?
Nie zamierzam się poddawać. Trzeba dostosowywać się do zmieniających się realiów. Jeśli chodzi o modę na prowadzenie gospodarstw – widzę taką tendencję, ale bardziej wśród ludzi, którzy kończą już swoje inne życie zawodowe. Zależy im na domku gdzieś na wsi i polu, gdzie będą mogą uprawiać żywność na własne potrzeby.
Myślisz, ze sukces programu “Rolnik szuka żony” przyczynił się do tego, że postrzeganie wsi i rolnika się nieco w Polsce zmieniło?
Program wpłynął pozytywnie na to jak ludzie na nas patrzą, ale jak już wspomniałem wyżej rolnictwu brakuje dobrego marketingu. Sam program nie wyjaśni wielu spraw, nie sprawi, że wizerunek rolników zmieni się na zawsze.
Ty jednak masz na koncie tytuł „Innowacyjnego rolnika”.
Otrzymałem go dwa lata temu za wprowadzenie do uprawy ozimych form grochu na swoim gospodarstwie. Gatunek ten jest w Polsce stosunkowo nowy, ale według mnie bardzo przyszłościowy ze względu na lepsze wykorzystanie wody pozimowej w stosunku do form jarych.
A co według Ciebie właściwie oznacza „innowacyjny”?
Potrafiący wykorzystać dodatkowe możliwości. Wcale nie muszą być one nowe. Czasami innowacją może być połączenie nowych technologii i możliwości z tradycją lub starymi rozwiązaniami.
Skąd czerpiesz pomysły na swoje posty. Jeśli piszesz o suszy, pokazujesz nasiona. Jeśli o rolniczych problemach, ilustrujesz to odpowiednimi fotografiami.
Moje pomysły czerpię po prostu z mojego otoczenia. To co czasami sprawia mi trudność to ubranie w słowa treści rolniczych tak, by były zrozumiałe dla człowieka, który nie ma z tym nic wspólnego. Jest mnóstwo fachowego słownictwa, które nie musi być zrozumiałe dla ogółu. Po kilku miesiącach publikowania mam już trochę rozeznania co może trafić do ludzi, a co niekoniecznie.
A co budzi największe zainteresowanie wśród internautów?
Na LinkedInie najlepiej „wyklikał” się luźny post o moich początkach na tym portalu. Miał 260 tys. wyświetleń i ponad 3,1 tys. poleceń. Post, który stworzyłem „ot tak”.
A wśród rolniczej tematyki?
Treści, które dotyczą nas wszystkich, np. o gospodarce wodą, ale także wpisy o zmianach zachodzących w rolnictwie, które mogą być oddechem od wielu branżowych treści na LinkedInie dla wielu osób.
Myślisz, że część ludzi może odczuwać nostalgię za życiem jakie pokazujesz? Duża cześć społeczeństwa zamknięta jest w szklanych biurowcach, ma garażowe pory roku. Wykonuje czynności, z których nie powstaje żaden fizyczny produkt.
Uważam, że ludzi interesuje to co się dzieje za granicami miast, jak wygląda wieś dzisiaj. Tak naprawdę mój profil rozwinął się mocno w czasach narodowej kwarantanny, gdzie większość ludzi zmuszona była zostać w domu, a ja pokazując swoją pracę – zwiększałem znacząco jej obszar. Można jednak też zauważyć tendencję, że coraz więcej ludzi w miastach po prostu nie wie jak wygląda życie na wsi, nie ma o nim żadnego pojęcia i to co dla nas jest codziennością.
Czy w 2020 roku trudno jest być rolnikiem w Polsce?
Nie, jest łatwo i przyjemnie. Nie ma problemów, ceny są ok, pogoda łaskawa. Moja odpowiedź jest z lekką ironią, nie chcę narzekać, bo często mówi się o tym, że rolnicy tylko marudzą.
Co jest dziś największym problemem rolnictwa?
Problemów jest cała masa. Od niestabilności cen począwszy, idąc przez szalejącą pogodę, która odbija się na uprawach, ASF, ptasią grypę, koronawirusa, kończąc na problemach, które tworzą sami rolnicy.
Co masz na myśli?
Brak współpracy, tworzenia wspólnych inicjatyw i inwestycji. O tym można mówić naprawdę długo.
Jak wygląda twoje gospodarstwo?
Gospodarstwo prowadzę razem z rodzicami. Posiadamy 100 hektarów ziemi, z czego ponad 50 własności. Są to gleby słabe, mozaikowate, w klasach 3-6. Uprawiamy rzepak, zboża, rośliny bobowate, kukurydzę, warzywa. Areał systematycznie zwiększamy, kilka lat temu uprawialiśmy 40 ha, więc cały czas do przodu. Całe gospodarstwo na dziś prowadzone jest w systemach bezorkowych, nie ma już praktycznie wcale w użyciu pługa, który większość z nas kojarzy jako główną maszynę na gospodarstwie. Nowe maszyny zaczęliśmy kupować, dopiero gdy część gospodarstwa została przeze mnie przejęta. Ciągniki, maszyny do uprawy bezorkowej, przyczepy. Uprawy takie jak kukurydza i rzepak są sprzedawane, zboża ze słabszych gleb przeznaczamy na paszę dla zwierząt.
Jak dużo zwierząt macie?
Utrzymujemy stado 85 macior w cyklu zamkniętym, a dokładniej hodujemy zwierzęta od urodzenia aż do sprzedaży. W tym sposobie hodowli mamy o wiele więcej pracy niż w cyklu zamkniętym, ale efekt ekonomiczny jest końcowo lepszy. Stado podstawowe składa się z polskich loch PBZ oraz duńskich DanBred, które polepszają pulę genową stada.
Wspominałeś też wcześniej o warzywach.
One zagościły u nas stosunkowo niedawno, powierzchnia ich upraw to około 1-3 ha rocznie z głównym przeznaczeniem na sprzedaż detaliczną, dzięki której można uzyskać lepszy dochód z 1 ha.
Nie chciałeś uciec ze wsi do miasta, jak twoi rówieśnicy?
Od dziecka wiedziałem co chcę robić. Nikt do tego na mnie nie wymuszał. Od zawsze wiedziałem też, że chcę poza rolnictwem robić coś więcej, stąd też pojawił się pomysł na Social Media. Niektórzy nauczyciele mówili mi „zmarnujesz się na gospodarstwie, idź za lekarza, za prawnika”, a ja odpowiadałem, że praca na gospodarstwie nie jest dla mnie wstydem i można robić naprawdę ciekawe rzeczy na gospodarstwie, ale także i poza nim.
Kończyłeś szkołę rolniczą?
Ukończyłem Technikum Agrobiznesu ze zdanymi na 100 proc. egzaminami zawodowymi, maturami ustnymi na 100 proc., a pisemnymi na ponad 90. Wtedy zastanawiałem się nad wybraniem nierolniczego kierunku studiów, ale ostatecznie wybrałem właśnie rolnictwo. Ukończyłem stopień inżyniera i…. nie widziałem sensu w dalszym kontynuowaniu nauki w tej formie.
Dlaczego?
Niestety nauczanie rolników leży. Jest ogrom niepotrzebnych przedmiotów, teoria, która jest tylko odklepywaniem formułek. Uczy się jak produkować, nie uczy jak sprzedawać, jak zarządzać zasobami, jak wprowadzać innowacje. Zrobiłem rok przerwy i postanowiłem pójść na studia podyplomowe związane z moimi zainteresowaniami i drugim źródłem zarobku – wybrałem Executive Marketing. Od marca wróciłem też na II stopień rolnictwa, ale już z zupełnie innym podejściem. Całkowicie skupiam się na wykonaniu pracy magisterskiej, której temat dotyczy się wcześniej wspomnianych ozimych form roślin bobowatych. Przy okazji szlifuję też angielski, który jest moją piętą Achillesa, ponieważ wszystkie materiały naukowe są tylko w tym języku. Teraz mam stosunek „aby zdać i zaliczyć to co muszę”, ale chcę zrobić pracę, której w Polsce nikt jeszcze nie zrobił.
Co najbardziej lubisz w swojej pracy?
W swojej pracy najbardziej lubię to, że sam decyduję o tym, w którym kierunku chcę iść, nie mam narzuconych ram. Dodatkowo bardzo bliski kontakt z przyrodą i przepiękne widoki, choć i te potrafią zbrzydnąć.
Jak wygląda twój typowy dzień?
Każdy jest inny. Czasami wstaję o 4 rano i kończę o 22. Czasami, szczególnie zimą, praca polega na wykonaniu prac przy zwierzętach i dzień trwa 3 godziny. Rutynowe są tylko prace hodowlane. Powiedziałbym, że bardziej przewidywalne jest co będę robił w danym miesiącu, niż to co będę robił następnego dnia. Ciężko jest mi cokolwiek zaplanować, wszystko zmienia się dość dynamicznie.
To chyba życiowo dość trudne?
To jest też powód, dlaczego jestem sam. Umawiam się na 19, jestem o 20, bo nie zdążyłem obrobić pola kilka kilometrów od domu i wtedy słucham „tylko pole i pole, ja się dla Ciebie nie liczę” i tu się kończy moja cierpliwość. Ale nie zamierzam brać udziału w „Rolnik szuka żony” choć produkcja programu mnie zapraszała, mam nadzieję, że swoją drugą połowę znajdę „standardowymi sposobami”, ale na to mam jeszcze czas.
